Project Description and Impact
In 2020, we did a rough Tracer Study to reconnect with survivors who had benefited support with vocational training from us. This tracer study revealed that most of our beneficiaries were not using the skills acquired through our support for income generation. Many actually started a small business but went bankrupt while others complained of no start-up capital. A closer examination also revealed limitations in the rehabilitation program offered by our partner trainers who did not understand the special needs of young people recovering from abuse and trauma. The tracer study identified limitation in the rehabilitation program offered by GLOWA and other organizations in Cameroon and recommended the putting in place of a holistic long term recovery program for survivors of trafficking in Cameroon
In 2021, we started developing a holistic recovery program for sexually exploited women in Bamenda Cameroon. We also engaged in a process of rebranding GLOWA. While we developed training modules for vocational education in sewing, embroidery, hairdressing and shoemaking, we also lunched two crowdfunding project on Global Giving. The project aimed at raising online donations for the implementation of rehabilitation activities including vocational training, psychosocial support and promote the development of soft skills by our program participants.
GLOWA is therefore soliciting the support of crowdfunding gurus to help us raise the funds we desperately need to fully develop the holistic long term recovery program that will also transform our program participants as frontline abolitionist

Yes. By working directly with a team of survivors of child trafficking, the consultant can actually learn issues relating to trafficking recruitment scams and the coping mechanism of victims
