Social Impact Project for Tableau Data Analysis to Help End Veteran Homelessness
Project Description and Impact
Built for Zero is a rigorous national change effort working to help a core group of committed communities end homelessness. Coordinated by Community Solutions, the national effort supports participants in developing real time data on homelessness, optimizing local housing resources, tracking progress against monthly goals, and accelerating the spread of proven strategies.
For this project, we are looking for TWO individuals to support a local team in a major US city with the design and deployment of dashboards that will help them identify system bottlenecks and improve on-the-ground processes to reduce and end veteran homelessness.
Learning Opportunity
- Exposure to health and human services data sets and their uses/limitations
- A “crash course” in the Collective Impact model of multi-stakeholder problem-solving
- Opportunity to take a look “under the hood” of the work to end homelessness in a major American city while learning about some of the approaches (such as leveraging quality improvement science to drive systems improvement) communities are taking to bend the curve on this complex social challenge
- Join a group of individuals and organizations who believe that homelessness is a solvable issue
