Social Impact Project for Graphic designer to support childhood education in Cambodia

Project Description and Impact

Kindergartens in Cambodia don't have a lot of resources. Teachers often have little to no budget, and at a time when kids are at their peak for learning development, not having the resources to challenge them mentally can have ongoing effects all the way to adulthood. We are working hard to change this.

We are creating a digital library that all teachers in Cambodia will have access to where they can print off books, lesson plans and activities for the kids to better teach the government curriculum. We have started a series of curriculum aligned books using our own characters that will be open source and available free to anyone to use. We currently have a Cambodian Graphic artist working on the books but we would love an experteer to support the graphic designer and create additional artwork required for branded games and activities.

Further to this, we also need support with website layouts and updates for the 2 websites that we manage.

Your work on this project will continue to help Cambodians long after you leave. You will also help to facilitate a social enterprise as we will sell the same materials in English to western countries to help support the charity.

Learning Opportunity

Cambodian culture. We are integrated into the local community and can give you a good grounding in this world. You may come here to share your knowledge but you will take away a thorough understanding of real-world problems and develop an understanding of how western ideas need to be modified to suit the Cambodian people.
